new mac

October 25th, 2008

so I got my new macbook! schweeet! It’s my first mac, so it took me about 24 hours to get used to the mac operating system, but now I <3 it.

As soon as I can get a hold of dreamweaver for macs I’m going to go to town on textReminders. The first thing I’m going to do is work on the text reminders management area. Specifically I’m going to add visibility to other peoples text reminders that you’re on their list to receive. I tell you what, last night I got a text reminder at 11:00 at night that said, “test” as the message. So I logged in to my account and didn’t see any “test” messages I had setup. Turns out my co-worker who was helping me test the night before setup a list with some test messages, however I had no idea who it was from, or how to turn it off. So that’s the problem i’m looking to address today.

Enjoy your mac, it’s nice having a unix system for web development having that terminal is so much nicer to ssh into something than using putty.

heh, you have me all confused face.

I don’t even know where to start really, heh. I guess I’ll start by asking what “ssh” is. I know what putty is, but I’m not trying to remotely connect to any systems.

And Mac don’t run unix (as far as I know), rather OSX.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment though. Glad someone reads this blog. :)
